Terms and Conditions

Version: 1 September 2026

At True Designer Bag, we value transparency, reliability and clear agreements. These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through our online store and, where applicable, to purchases resulting from our Dream Bag Service.

1. Identity and applicability

The True Designer Bag online store is operated by True Vintage Bag, established in the Netherlands. You can contact us using the contact options provided on the website.

These Terms and Conditions apply to every agreement concluded through www.truedesignerbag.com between True Designer Bag and a consumer. Deviating arrangements apply only where they have been expressly agreed. Mandatory consumer rights always remain applicable.

2. Offer and conclusion of the agreement

We make every effort to describe and depict each item as fully and accurately as possible. The product page, including photographs, dimensions, condition description and any special details, forms part of the offer.

The agreement is concluded when the customer completes the ordering process and we confirm the order electronically. Obvious typographical, pricing or data-entry errors are not binding on True Designer Bag where it should reasonably have been clear to the customer that an error had occurred.

3. Vintage and pre-owned items

True Designer Bag specialises in vintage and pre-owned designer items. These items are not new and, depending on their age, material and previous use, may show signs of wear or other characteristics. Known and relevant signs of wear are stated and/or shown as clearly as possible on the product page.

When assessing what a customer may reasonably expect from an item, factors including its age, price, description, condition and pre-owned nature are taken into account. This does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights if an item does not conform to the agreement.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in euros and include applicable taxes, unless expressly stated otherwise. Any shipping charges and other additional costs are clearly displayed before the order is completed.

Payment is made using the payment methods offered at checkout. An order will generally be dispatched once payment has been processed successfully, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

5. Delivery and risk

We deliver to the delivery address provided by the customer when placing the order. Stated delivery times are estimates unless a fixed delivery date has been expressly agreed. If no other delivery period has been agreed, we will deliver within the period prescribed by law.

The risk of loss of or damage to the item passes to the consumer when the consumer, or a third party appointed by them other than the carrier, has received the item.

6. Right of withdrawal

For a distance purchase, a consumer generally has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days without giving a reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day after the consumer, or a third party appointed by the consumer, receives the item.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform us within this period, by means of an unequivocal statement, that they wish to withdraw from the agreement. This can be done, for example, by email, through the contact form or via an online withdrawal facility offered on the website.

Any statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal apply only where the statutory conditions for such an exception have been met.

7. Returning an item after withdrawal

After notifying us of the withdrawal, the item must be returned no later than 14 days thereafter, unless we expressly provide different instructions. The direct cost of returning the item is payable by the consumer insofar as permitted by law and provided the consumer was informed of this in advance.

Because of the value of our items, we recommend returning items securely packaged, insured and using a traceable shipping method. This recommendation is not a condition for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

The consumer may inspect and assess the item to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. The consumer may be liable for diminished value if the item has been used or handled beyond what was necessary for that purpose. Use of the original packaging is appreciated where reasonably possible, but its absence does not automatically exclude the statutory right of withdrawal.

8. Refund following withdrawal

In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund the payments received from the consumer in accordance with the applicable statutory rules. Where the entire order is withdrawn, this also includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us. Any additional costs resulting from the consumer choosing a more expensive delivery method do not have to be refunded.

The refund will be made no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item or until the consumer provides evidence that the item has been returned, whichever occurs first. Unless agreed otherwise, we will use the same payment method for the refund as was used for the original payment.

9. Statutory conformity and product complaints

The consumer is entitled to an item that conforms to the agreement. The statutory conformity rules also apply to pre-owned and vintage items. When assessing conformity, factors including the item’s age, condition, price and the information provided about it before purchase are taken into account.

A sign of wear that was clearly described or depicted before purchase and is consistent with the stated condition is not necessarily a defect. However, if an item does not meet what the consumer could reasonably expect on the basis of the agreement, the consumer’s statutory rights remain fully applicable.

We ask customers to report a problem as soon as possible after discovering it, preferably including the order number and clear photographs. This practical procedure does not limit any statutory rights.

10. Authenticity

True Designer Bag sells only items that we assess as authentic. We inspect items carefully and may, depending on the item and as stated on the website or product page, use external authentication providers or additional checks.

Where a certificate or external authentication is supplied with a specific item, this will be stated on the product page. If a customer has reasonable doubts about authenticity after receipt, we ask them to contact us immediately. The consumer’s statutory rights remain fully applicable if an item does not conform to the agreement.

11. Dream Bag Service and deposit

A search request through the Dream Bag Service is without obligation until a suitable bag has been found and no purchase has been agreed. Once we have found a suitable bag, the customer will receive information about the item concerned and its price.

If the customer decides to purchase the offered item through us, we require a deposit of 40% of the purchase value to reserve the item for the customer. This deposit will be deducted from the total purchase price. These Terms and Conditions and the applicable statutory consumer rights apply to the final purchase.

12. Liability

True Designer Bag is not liable for damage resulting from improper use, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear or treatment unsuitable for the item’s material and age, insofar as such damage cannot be attributed to True Designer Bag.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability where exclusion or limitation is not permitted under mandatory law.

13. Force majeure

If performance is temporarily impossible or delayed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will contact the customer as soon as possible. In that event, the parties will seek an appropriate solution. The consumer’s statutory rights, including rights relating to late delivery, remain applicable.

14. Complaints

A complaint may be submitted via the contact page, by email or by telephone. Please include the order number and a clear description of the complaint where possible. We handle complaints carefully and will try to resolve them in consultation with the customer as soon as possible.

15. Return policy and other information

The website may contain additional pages concerning returns, shipping, authenticity, privacy and the condition of our items. This information supplements these Terms and Conditions. Where a provision on an additional page conflicts with mandatory consumer law, the mandatory statutory provision prevails.

16. Governing law and disputes

Agreements with True Designer Bag are governed by Dutch law. This choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law that would apply in the absence of this choice.

Disputes will be submitted to the court with jurisdiction under the law, after the parties have first attempted to resolve the dispute by mutual agreement.

17. Amendments to these Terms and Conditions

True Designer Bag may amend these Terms and Conditions for future agreements where there is reason to do so. For an agreement already concluded, the terms applicable at the time of that agreement will generally continue to apply, unless the law provides otherwise or the parties expressly agree otherwise.
